Using Vacuum Excavation and safe dig methods, WCC Group installed 80 in-situ concrete foundations and anchor blocks to support a new steam pipeline. Installing the new steam pipeline foundations came with some challenges for WCC Group’s team as the area of installation was congested with existing services. However, making use of the appropriate CAT scanning equipment and plant WCC Group was able to complete the contract on time and on budget with no damage to the services.
As a variation to the contract WCC Group also removed the existing concrete steam duct covers to replace them with a more maintenance-friendly composite style duct cover. WCC Group were able to offer a wide variety of extra works within the project such as the use of their confined space rescue team as well as regrading ground that was heavily rutted.
